红烧肉英语菜谱
Ingredients:
500g streaky pork belly
1 cinnamon stick
3 star anise (also called Da Liao)
5 slices of ginger
6 red dates (optional)
2 tablespoons of dark soy sauce (30ml)
1 teaspoon of salt (5g)
3 teaspoons of sugar (15g)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:Wash the pork belly and cut it into a block size suitable for stewing. Do not cut it too small, as it may shrink and become difficult to handle during the long cooking process.
Sauté Aromatics:Heat a bit of oil in a pot, add the cinnamon stick, star anise, and ginger slices. Sauté until they release their aroma.
Brown the Pork:Add the pork belly to the pot and cook until it is well-browned on all sides.
